Alpha Chi Sigma Beta Pi Chapter at University of the Pacific
About Us
The Alpha Chi Sigma fraternity was organized at the University of Wisconsin-Madison on December 11, 1902. Alpha Chi Sigma (AXΣ) is a professional co-ed fraternity specializing in the field of chemistry. It has 49 collegiate and 15 professional chapters and groups throughout the United States consisting of both men and women and numbering more than 63,000 members. The fraternity aims to bring together students and professionals pursuing a wide variety of chemistry-related careers including, but not limited to: Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Pre-Dentistry, Pre-Pharmacy, and Pre-Medicine.
The Founding Fathers of the fraternity set up three objectives:
1. To bind its members with a tie of true and lasting friendship.
2. To strive for the advancement of chemistry both as a science and as a profession.
3. To aid its members by every honorable means in the attainment of their ambitions as chemists throughout their mortal lives.
We fulfill these three objects by actively participating and organizing professional and community events. For more information about Alpha Chi Sigma, check out our links page.
Our Beta Pi Chapter was recently awarded with the Three Star Chapter Award.
